Ali MacGraw
Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer and activist for animal rights. Ali MacGraw is famous for her roles in films like Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. Her desire to be an artist was influenced by her family background within a New York family of artists. When she was a photographer's assistant, she turned her attention to modeling and acting. Her name was highlighted in two of her films and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's film Love Story proved a major hit and fetched her worldwide recognition and several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and a Golden Globe award. With just three releases MacGraw was named the top female box-office start around the globe. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name with handprints, foot prints and handprints in 1972. In addition to The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was released. MacGraw has been married three times.
